Standing, cruising, falling!

Milestones!

These first few weeks of April have been full of milestones. Liam's learned to walk with help, push himself up to sitting, pull himself up to standing, and has attempted and succeeded at crawling. On top of all that, he managed through his first double ear infection and now has 5 teeth!

Here are some pics of early attempts at crawling...

Poor Riley is doomed...

So proud of himself...

All this learning is exhausting (Liam fell asleep sitting up and then slumped over in his crib)!

Adventures in Texture, Part 2

Here are some photos of Liam in the grass. Not the same face as described in the earlier post but you get the idea.

Some photos from a rainy afternoon. Diaper boxes are a lot of fun!

Adventures in Texture

Liam had two new experiences with texture this weekend. On Saturday, we gave him Cheerios for the first time. He was interested. He scooted them around his tray and picked them up. When one made it to his mouth, however, he was disenchanted. He tried to push it out with his tongue but that didn't work and it ended up further back in his mouth. He then proceeded to gag and choke, poor kid. After a little pat on the back, the Cheerio appeared back on the tray, yum. So far, Cheerios are better to play with than to eat!

On Sunday, we took advantage of the beautiful spring weather and sat on a blanket outside. Liam pulled them blanket toward him to reveal the grass. He put his hand down in the grass and then made one of the most terrible faces ever! It was like we had fed him lima beans soaked in lemon juice! He kept feeling the grass and making the same face. We can't wait to let him walk in the yard barefoot!

First Reds Game

We had a busy weekend - first we went to Kite Fest and then to Liam's first Reds game. He was more interested in the jumbo-tron and other fans than the game.

Where's Daddy?

Yes, this is Liam walking (a bit wobbly though)!!!

Musical Protege

Love the dresser

Now that Liam is standing pretty well on his own, one of his favorite things is to hang on the dresser drawer and play with the hardware.

Standing!?!

We go away for a weekend and Liam beefs up his skill set!!
