Liam said his first 2 word "sentence" yesterday. We were watching three deer in our front yard, eating our flowers and pumpkins. As the deer wandered away Liam said "bye-bye deer!"
We're getting excited for Halloween! Our little monkey is going to love being outside with other kids begging from strangers. Pictures to come....

Our little "tow head"
Many people have commented on Liam's shockingly blonde hair leading to a conversation on the definition of a "tow head." In case you're curious....
Tow headed is literally "flaxen haired". This meaning of tow comes from Middle Low German touw (which means "flax, hemp fiber"). This probably went back to the prehistoric Germanic base *tow-, *taw "make, prepare" (source also of English tool), in the sense "make yarn from wool; spin". A person with very light (almost white) blond hair, "tow" being flax or hemp fibers. Tow-headed, along with fair(-haired) and flaxen-haired, is a tradional way in the English language to refer to blond hair or lightly-colored hair, having come from its old Germanic roots (which are quite rare).

Juice (jui)
All Done (da-du)
Open (pen)
Elbow (be-bow): as in 'elbow-elbow-knee-knee' - how we climb the furniture

Truck (uhh)
Bus (buh)
Duck (duh)
Zebra (be-bra)
Bird (bir)

Dancing Fool
We had the pleasure of attending Jenny and Ben's wedding this past weekend. It was a beautiful wedding and a lot of fun. Liam in particular enjoyed himself. He made sure to make friends with everyone at the wedding. He loved the live music and broke out his best dance moves. He danced with the bride and the band even pulled him up on stage! He's a ham!
