A Boy and his Owl

Its funny what kids get attached to...namely Fritz the Owl. Thanks cousin Jim.
At Thanksgiving at Jim's house, Liam ventured in the basement and returned excitedly bearing his new best friend. The owl decoy had dust on its beak and one eye popped out but Liam loves it. My (ever so helpful) family christened the owl Fritz and convinced Liam he need a good home. So, Fritz has come to live with us. Fortunately its understood that owls live outside so Fritz has a prominent spot in the maple tree in the front yard. Fritz isn't much of a help when it comes to keeping squirrels away from the birdfeeder but he greets Liam everyday on the way out of the house.
Today was very windy and when we got home Fritz had been knocked from his perch and was laying in the front yard. When Liam got out of the car, he picked up Fritz and asked "are you OK?" Then he looked at me reassuringly and said, "he's OK Mommy." Liam then decided it was too windy for Fritz to be out so he's temporarily taken up residence in our living room. Good ol' Fritz.

  2. Fritz is going to need a buddy to "hang" with, I am currently on the lookout for a new friend for Fritz. Do owls and Armadillo's get along?

  3. This is hilarious. Uncle Beastmaster is a genius and needs to buy a plastic armadillo so that they can be besties
